About Us
Our Mission
Youths with externalizing behaviours (i.e., ADHD and disruptive behaviours) are often overlooked or dismissed, leaving them without the care they need. The impact of externalizing behaviours is profound, affecting not only youths themselves but also their families and society as a whole. Through collaborative research, we aim to understand how to effectively treat these behaviours and ensure the successful implementation of treatments in clinical and community settings. Our ultimate goal is to empower youths to reach their full potential, while alleviating the burden on families and society. We are also committed to sharing our research with diverse audiences and ensuring that our work is accessible to all who may benefit from it.

Our Approach
What drives our research?

1. How can we enhance and personalize interventions for youths with externalizing behaviours?

2. What helps or hinders the use of effective treatments for externalizing behaviours in clinical and community settings?

3. What are the barriers to equitable care for youths with externalizing behaviours and how can we address them?
Why did the SPARK lab change its name?
As our lab has grown and evolved, our new name better reflects our focus on developing and improving behavioural interventions for youth. We’re still the same team, and have the same mission!
