Dr. Joyce Lui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Co-Director of the Centre of Clinical Research in Health at Concordia University. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University in 2018. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Implementation Science at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Lui's translational research focuses on child and adolescent psychopathology, interventions, implementation science, and health services. Her work has been funded by the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and the American Psychological Foundation. She is an Implementation Research Institute Fellow and a Child Intervention, Prevention, and Services Fellow.
As a Clinical Faculty member, Dr. Lui teaches graduate and undergraduate courses related to psychopathology, cognitive assessment, and child interventions and provides clinical supervision. Dr. Lui is committed to inclusivity in teaching, mentorship, and research. She is a member of the Society of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology Diversity Committee, and the Leadership Education to Advance Diversity Institute Planning Committee. Dr. Lui has a long-standing history of involvement in mentorship and training programs with missions to support students traditionally underrepresented in science and graduate education.
